Gummy smile
It is now possible to minimize the appearance of a gummy smile or overexposed gums without surgery. In fact, relaxing the muscle of the upper lip by injecting Botox® or Dysport® neuromodulators can reduce the rising of the upper lip. Results: The results may vary from patient to patient, depending on the level of gum exposure. Following the injection, the results appear in approximately 3 to 7 days after the treatment. Injections are necessary around every 3 to 4 months.
